Mouse and Keyboard

When i use my mouse and keyboard at the same time it gives my computer horrible lag does anyone know why this happens and what the solution is.

Recently got a new computer and after building it i am having a problem where when i use my keyboard and then use my mouse at the same time it uses like 30% of my cpu. what is the solution

i am using a microsoft sidewinder x4 keyboard and a logitech g300 mouse
