Hello all and thank you very much for your time.
my rig is as follows: 5820k, h110i gtx cooler, asus x99 deluxe, 980 ti hybrid, ssd, windows 7
mouse: zowie ec2 evo @ 2300 DPI, 500 hz polling, windows 3/11
lately I have been having an issue with my mouse pointer shooting to the top left of my monitor if i lift it up even the slightest bit (flicks for counter-strike, dota, overwatch, etc) at this point i unplug the mouse and replug it into a different usb (i have 2.0, 3.0, and 3.1, ive tried them all and they all have the same problem) Upon plugging into a new port my mouse goes back to normal usually for a few minutes (which I believe indicates it's not a sensor problem?), then once again, it starts shooting to the top left of the screen. this happens in-game as well as on the desktop. i would just buy a new mouse but they do not make this mouse anymore and i am very paranoid over making sure all my sensitivities / everything will feel the same (been gaming for 13 years with the same sensitivity) anyone have any idea on what the problem could be?
thank you everyone
