Mouse cursor turning into verical dashed lines

Recently my mouse cursor has been vanishing or turning into vertical dashed lines on both monitors I run a Crossfire AMD RX480 with an AMD 8650 8core CPU with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. It's very frustrating as I've looked everywhere and found no answer or fix

shake the cursor around on screen will make it go away...

I have an AMD processor and shaking the cursor worked for me.

AMD CPU and ATI Video Card with Win 10 Pro here. Shaking the mouse worked for me as well. Interesting. Thanks!
