After moving my ASUS ROG Desktop to another room, my mouse just wasn't working. I tried all USB ports, made sure the device was plugged in properly, mouse worked on another computer. I then found out on the devices tab or whatever it is that "Device driver was unavailable " I tried again on all ports and it all said for all ports that the device driver unavailable. However, my keyboard could work on a specific USB port. I tried to plug the mouse into that but still same problem. I have searched the Internet for over an hour trying to solve it but was unsuccessful.
I also tried to update the device driver or something (Automatically from internet) but it didn't work)
Please help!!

EDIT: Also: When doing system restore- reset the PC but keep personal files, it said there was a problem and no changes were made. There then were a set of options of which I selected to reset the PC (again) - It is currently resetting however, the mouse worked when on that screen. I also remember it working when I opened the BIOS before doing system reset. Does this mean anything? Edit: The second reset also has a problem anencephaly didn't work.

How though? I can't use my mouse anyways but I found a download for " Intel driver update utility 2.9 " and managed to open it, however, I cannot [Tab] to the checkbox to agree to terms and conditions and thus I cannot start installation. Also I am not very sure of what to do.

Edit: I found out space bar ticks the checkbox and I installed whatever the program said it could update , but It still has the same problem

ok, i think you somehow have shorted the mouse usb cable. did u see any static shocks or sparks while unplugging the mouse. Try using another mouse, get a cheap mouse and check. Also if its a asus rog desktop and not assembled, then i guess your machine has bluetooth; Download a mouse driver utility on ur android or ios mobile phone and use it as the mouse for the time being.

I load optimized defaults in settings but that didn't solve it. And I don't know what exactly is the intel chipset inf driver ( could you link me to it please? - Thanks in advance ) I searched "Intel chipset inf driver" and found a intel server chipsset driver for windows but I don't know how to select the pop up to accept terms

I'm pretty sure the mouse itself is fine, It works when in BIOS and in another computer. I tried 2 other mouse and both doesn't work- same " device driver unavailable problem " .
I don't think there is a Bluetooth on my computer as there are wires connecting the screen to the box with the USB ports and also because no Bluetooth options shows up when I search for Bluetooth on my computer using Win+S.

I don't have another computer available as they either have no space or cant open the file, the mouse works fine normally though (except on the computer which "mouse device driver unavailable")

Also, when moving the computer I had to unplug the mouse and all which haven't been unplugged for about a year (The stuff is about 2 years old) and I remember before that, about 2 of 6 of the USB ports also didn't work - which is kind of why I didn't touch it until now. The USB thing of the mouse is kind of yellowish and has a bit of dirt on it too... I also vacuumed the outside of the box which connects to the screen (modem? router? monitor? Whatever its called, its the one which has the usb ports) as it was a bit dusty- could this have done anything to it?
