So I've seen all the threads about mouse double clicking and no real solutions. In my case it's an ordinary HP mouse. Drivers weren't the issue. It isn't program specific. Also wheeling the mouse would occasionally result in a reversal.
Here's what I found. In Device Manager there were two HID-Compliant Device entries and four HID-Compliant devices entries in Human Interface Device. All of them point at Location 0. I disabled one of them and ended up uninstalling it and that didn't solve it because I haven't restarted. I know if I restart it'll just show up again. Disabling the second HID-Compliant Device entry doesn't solve it on its own, however, I haven't restarted it to check.
My question is, how do i tell which HID-Compliant entry in Human Interface Device goes with the actual, currently installed mouse? I suspect that I'll end up having to disable those too, if disabling the mouse entry doesn't work.
TIA
