Mouse driver installation issue

Hi everyone!

I recently purchased myself an Aula ghost Shark programmable gaming mouse, and I received it today. It came with a disk that has a program on that will allow you to program the buttons and LED's in the mouse yourself, however every time I try to run the setup, an error message pos up stating the following:

The InstallShield Engine (iKernal.exe) could not be installed.

The system cannot find the path specified.

Any ideas on how to solve this? I am running on windows 8 by the way, not 8.1.

Copy the install files to your hard drive.
Rename any folder that includes Chinese characters. Example: AULA-鬼鲛-989 G8 A3050 Gaming+Mouse+Driver(ENU-CHS)-20121103, name it "mouse software" or something (no quotes).
Run executable with admin privileges.

I have the same issue. did what u said, and I can install the driver and open the interface. however, any changes I make in the program, including saving profiles, do not take effect at all.

The same here. Anyone got an idea? Installation worked fine, but the config doesn't affect to the mouse..

Personally I gave up and bought a new mouse in the end. =) A Roccat KONE XTD if you're interested. Excellent mouse, I'd recommend it over the Aula any day.

FYI, I never could figure out what was wrong. I just got the same iKernal.exe error every time.

It could be that the drivers are unsigned. In which case you have to restart ina special mode that allows the installation of unsigned drivers

Hover over bottom right corner
select
> Settings
>change pc settings
>update & recovery
>recovery
>advanced start up
restart pc
Select option to allow installation of unsigned drivers

This might help

Hi. I also got the same mouse and I dragged the folder on the CD onto my desktop and it's worked. But the problem I'm having is just changing the settings on the mouse. Like changing the colors

thankyou your help helped me. thankyou very much

i just recently bought the aula ghost shark gaming mouse, and i didn't receive the cd containing the program in the first place. i was wondering if anyone could post the program or email it to me, i would greatly appreciate it. i know its weird but you could email it to me at fakeuselessemail717@gmail.com
The manufacturer has turfed me to three separate people and still hasn't given me even anything remotely close to an answer if they are going to give me the program. id really like to be able to use my mouse the way i should be able to. Thanks!
