Mouse freezing/stops working

Hey all,

I had an old mouse which would freeze every 2-3 minutes for a couple of seconds.
I thought it was a hardware problem so I bought a new one.
The problem still exists. Solutions I already tried:

1. Use another USB port
2. Change mouse
3. Update drivers
4. Disable "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power" from every USB root hub in device manager

None of the above worked. Can you please give me some other suggestions?

1| Please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your connected peripherals.
2| Disable automatic device driver updates and then remove the mouse from Device Manager.
3| Have you made sure your BIOS and chipset/USB drivers are up to date?
