Question Mouse interference issues.

Recently i have been having mouse issues where it has started to skip frames/lag, im pretty certain its because of 2.4ghz interference between my router and mouse. I cant move my router because i use a short ethernet cable, i tried turning off the 2.4ghz internet connection completely but i couldnt figure out how to do so through the app i have on my phone. But from my understanding from some threads i have been reading is that different usb ports use different speeds, so i recently tried changing it to a blue one on my motherboard and moving the mouse receiver way closer than where it was (the problems did get better and stuttering hasnt been happening recently but i'd like to avoid it forever.) Now i dont know what speed the usb port is all i know is that its blue and has SS above it, i have some black ports and a couple red ones with SS 10 above them and i was wondering if anyone knew which usb port would be best to use to avoid any interference between my internet router and mouse?

Well the blue usb port should be the fastest.
I'm assuming you've got a wireless mouse and you think that at 2.4 GHz signal is interfering, not sure about that but you should be able to switch off 2.4 by accessing your router direct on your PC.
At least if you try that you will know either way and may narrow down the cause.

What else could be the problem? i dont think anything is wrong with my mouse because i've had upwards of 7 of these mice with the same problem. Def a interference thing. How would i access the router on pc?

USB port version is irrelevant to mouse wireless receiver.

Use wired mouse. It will solve all your wireless interference issues.
Another bonus - you won't have to worry about mouse battery running out during gaming sessions.

Well - that's your choice.

I've used several wireless mice. There are no advantages (no significant ones) other than "coolness" factor for wireless.
But disadvantages are very serious and annoying.

I have a lot of desk space, makes sense to use wireless when you do. And also play a low sens on every game which is a lot easier with wireless. this is all besides the point of what i asked.

What specific make/model mouse (mice) are we talking about here?

Seems this would be a common complaint given the widespread use of wireless networks (especially 2.4Ghz networks).

I had/have a similar issue in my home office and in particular when I was using a lot of wireless mice and keyboards. I ended up getting a long USB cable and have the receiver sitting perhaps 12" from both my mouse and keyboard. In addition to that I got multi device mouse and keyboard which cut two (other) wireless devices out. Since then and since the problem would not resolve even after checking channel/band activity and so on I ended up moving away from wireless on everything I could back to wired devices. I also moved my ISP modem and router solution over closer to the door and away from any direct line between this PC and the wireless devices.

Find out the IP address for you router> it's usually printed on the back with a password.

IP address of the router has exactly zero to do with this.
