Mouse is skipping over pixels in games

I play on a 1080p monitor, with a mouse that can go from (1000/1600/2000) DPI.

This becomes mostly a problem at medium and long range. When I go to aim and move it over it skips a good amount of pixels, making me have to only play at close range only.

I'm not sure what it is? I barely move the mouse when aiming and its skipping a great deal of pixels.

Most mouse skips are the result of it being dirty. Do you have any compressed air to clean it out? I had a mouse that was like that once.. I cleaned it... and it helped... but I just ended up buying a new mouse.
