Hi,

So, I've been trying a lot of mice recently and I honestly can't tell why this happens. Not sure if the USB port is making this an issue or not, but for Razer mice, the mouse "stutters". I'll do a circle motion and it sort of "jumps" a random direction. Video here.
I had a Pulsar Xlite and that mouse would randomly "turn off" until I had to move it a lot for it to start tracking again.

I did try other USB ports, different Razer mice of the same, and it just keeps happening. Sensors are clean, mousepad is as well, with and without.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

Do the mice work normally when tested on other known working computers?

Use Task Manager and Resource Monitor (use both tools but only one at a time) to observe system performance.

Let the system stabilize and then move the mouse in circles. Try to discover what changes when stuttering occurs.

Okay so I feel like an idiot, so I apologize. Although I tried to include as much information as I could, I forgot what you had mentioned and also forgot I did a reinstall of Windows.

I reinstalled Windows yesterday and everything has been working fine now. I still switched to a different USB port and unplugged anything that was unnecessary and not needed. I also had made another post about how there was this "clunking" sound and it turned out to be a potentially dying HDD. Not sure if that would have caused anything, but I'm safely backing up as we speak.

Feel free to close the thread. Again, I am sorry.

No apologies or "sorry" needed. Do not feel like an "idiot". Leave that to me ---- :)

Sometimes the problems or circumstances need a bit of "reworking".

And there is no need to "close" the thread per se.

Others may learn from this thread.

Your posts and all replies may well help someone else.

Especially with regards to the often overlooked importance of backing up.

Backups: at least 2 x and to locations other than the host computer with the backup being confirmed as recoverable and readable.
