Hi all,

As title says. My mouse jumps to the top left of my screen at what feels is random. More often than not when I ALT - Tab or open a new programme. I use a Corsair Harpoon Wireless mouse. I don't think it happens when it's wired or it happens less. Below is what i've tried to fix the issue
  • Disable drivers then re-enable
  • Delete drivers and reinstall
  • Update ICue
  • Reinstall Icue
  • Tried 2 seperate mice? Mouses. Even different brand, still happening
  • Ran the sfc /scannow and Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth etc
  • Updated windows 11 to 24h4
  • Reinstalled Windows
  • Disabled other HID mouse in Device Manager
  • Different receiver
  • Different USB
  • In mouse settings I have "Enhance pointer precision" turned off
I thought i've fixed it a few times but just seems to delay the issue. I've tried disabling my Anti virus which did help

Issue doesn't happen when playing games like COD or surprisingly Football Manager. But if i press the Windows key, alt tab or even click on a new programme on Windows 11 then the issue is going to happen like 7/10 times.

As i've been typing this out, it hasn't done it. I use Brave Browser, but issue also happened on Firefox and Chrome.

I'll try with the wired mouse to ensure it's deffo not a wireless issue. I'll reply soon

PC specs
Intel I9 14900K
PNY RTX 5080
32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3600mhz
Mixture of SSD and HDD about 16tb in total but doubt that's the issue
Windows 11 24h4

Update, issue doesn't happen as much on the Corsair Harpoon wired mouse

Hey there,

How are you connecting the Harpoon. Slipstream or BT? I have this mouse on a secondary system. It's about 4 years old. Any problems I've had stem from iCUE or the mouse itself. Have you tried to reset the mouse?

AI Overview

To reset a Corsair Harpoon mouse, turn it off, press and hold the left and right mouse buttons, then turn the mouse back on while holding the buttons. After about 5 seconds, release the buttons. If the reset is successful, the LED will flash. If the issue persists, you can contact Corsair Support for further assistance.

Also, if you have any other control software, e.g. ASUS Armoury Crate, MSI Dragon Centre etc, you would be best served by disabling those services while troubleshooting the mouse.

I always use 2.4ghz for mouse connectivity. I use slipstream along with my K100 Air (Awful keyboard i know lol)

I've just done the reset, 3 orange flashes then 1 green so looks like it's reset it self now. As for other control software, only running Corsair. I'll post an update later see what the results are

May of found the culprit.

In Sytem Configuration, under Services. There's a service called "Corsair Device Control Service" disabled it, working fine. Well so far. Only down side is that I can't control the RGB for some of my parts but it's a small price to pay
