Mouse lag fix?

Hello I was wondering how can I fix my mouse from lagging? Its a wired mouse but I do not know the brand of it, keep in mind that my keyboard is a Logitech G105. My mouse would light up always when connected, but the cursor would not move for some reason. Anyone know the problem? And My OS is Windows 8

Plug the mouse back into the port, restart the machine and check if it works.

Sometimes you might need to reboot your PC to work out your wired mouse/keyboard.

I tried everything to no avail. After an hour of testing everything, I found out the issue was with my TV that I was using as a monitor. I have an Insignia TV and there is a "Game Mode" option. With it off, the tv causes a slight delay because it is "upgrading" the image to make it look better. When "Game Mode" is activated, it streams the image from the computer/gaming console so that there is no delay.
