I am at the end of my wits...i have 3 PC towers that will not recognize any of the 4 mice i own (2 usb 2 wireless). I thought i traced it back and knew the only thing the 3 towers have in common is the ISO image used to reset them. I tried many reinstalls, chkdsk, dism, sfc scannow, 2 different live chats with support and still nothing. Just tonight i brought in a borrowed 4th tower to make a new ISO image hoping that would work... as soon as i started this 4th tower I lost all mouse recognition. Tell me how that is even possible? This tower has been dormant a long time and I didnt install anything...

Please help before i lose what little i have left of my mind. I have spent 5 nights working on this issue

You used the same OS image on them or did you do a clean Windows setup? If you are using an image instead of a full clean setup, do a clean setup and see how it works.

sorry, im running windows 10 home edition. cheap asrock 760GM-HD with a fx-6200, i have a phenom 965 in asus m4a89gtd board...one of those mini acer towers with a intel j1900 integrated processor...the loaner tower is an older intel but had windows 10...
i will try more mice but the usb ports seem fine, wireless keyboards and stuff work in the same ports. i will try the reinstalls you recommended as well. thanks!

Quick update. Turns out that some how all 4 of my mice died the same day, plus 1 i borrowed...i got my hands on 2 other loaners and they work fine. So it wasn't a corrupt ISO image but i can't think of anything to explain it...bad luck or karma possibly? idk if anyone has had similar issues or insight I'd love to hear it.
Thanks

haha hmmm ill have to dig deep here...we have a victsing pc140a (wireless bought off amazon i think) a yindiao a2 (wireless pretty sure thats from wish) an old microsoft (stole from work years ago, id numbers too faded but it's usb plug in) and a blackweb RGB gaming mouse ( usb plug in, got it off a friend idk where he got it) ...the loaner i gave back i cant remember what it was...

update* pretty sure i isolated the problem to one tower with one specific front panel usb port that is killing the dongle of my mice...taking it apart tonight make sure my pins are correct and if they are im disabling the front panel usb ports
