Mouse not tracking after lift

Hi guys, I have a Zowie FK2 and every time I lift my mouse and put it back down, it doesn't track. I think it's a mousepad issue, so, what's the best way to wash a mousepad?

If you think it's a mousepad issues, did you test it without one or with another one? All you should need to do is wipe it down with a lightly wet paper towel.
