Mouse not working, just updated windows 8.1

I updated windows and now my mouse not working. I tried restarting and putting in different ports. I tried going to device manager with my keyboard and it says that it's working probably but I can't move or see the curser. What should I do?

Yes, I think so. I had windows 8.1 preview and it work perfectly, right now my computer is making a sound like if I'm taking out and putting the plug back in

Can you tell me what is your Motherboard, the exact model number please? I guess this could be either driver issue or the motherboard is not compatible with Win 8.1

Nvm I refresh my computer, so I'm just staying at windows 8, everything working. And yea I guess it's not compatible. Thanks anyways.
