Mouse Pointer turns into 6 dots?

Solution
This may not help but is sure can not hurt, Try running the System File Checker by running a command prompt, in administrator mode, and typing sfc/scannow and press enter.

this will only scan the system files (OS files) and replace then if they are corrupt. This is why it can not hurt to do it.
Try updating the mouse drivers.
1. Click Start.
2. Type Device Manager in Start search.
3. Expand Mice and other Pointing devices in device manager window.
4. Right Properties.
5. Click on driver tab.
6. Click Update drivers.
7. Click OK.

I get this mostly on my laptop but occasionally on my main desktop. Usually a restart fixes the the issue for me. The is no one size fixes all to this issue. Usually it is the OS reading the file wrong where the pointer Icon is located. Mouse drivers actually have nothing to do with the OS reading the file where the Icon is located.

I tried this and nothing happened.

Yeah, restarting works for me too, its just a pain that I have to restart my computer every time it happens, and tahts 2-3 times a day.

OK you need to access the CBS.log file and read over it to see what is the issue. I have found it is best to google how to open the CBS file as many programs can not open them. Usually the ones that can are free so no worries.

Don't freak out because it found issues. It can be something really simple. If you copy down the file path in the link you provided you should find teh file, the open it with one of the googled programs and read over it. IF necessary screen shoot it and we can help you go over it.
