there's a clear discernible difference between 125hz and 500hz, at least to me and most people. but is there really any noticeable difference between tighter number ranges like 400-500hz? or even 300-500hz?
I ask because moving my mouse side to side doesn't produce an exact 500hz, it fluctuates between 400-500, and I'm wondering if this actually has a noticeable effect on smoothness and in-game cameras. when the polling rate is low, like in the 100-200s in Roblox, I find the camera to be quite choppy in comparison; in games where the polling rate would be within that 400-500hz range, the camera is definitely not choppy but I'd like to know if there is any discernible difference here
when I move slowly and pan the camera around, I can see somewhat noticeable breaks but I really cannot tell if that's just my slow-moving fingers/hand causing a sensitive movement on the mouse, or if there's like an actual clear difference in the 300-500 or 400-500hz range
I have an Atrix Guild mouse which is 500hz max
