Mouse stopped working well on cloth pad

I have no idea if anybody can help me with this since this is a very strange issue.

for the last years I used my mouse with a steel series cloth mouse pad. It was going very well and everything was smooth. Then for some reason, my mouse started to act strange. The precision was gone, like when there is a hair on the beam. I tried all the other mice I had and it was working fine. Just my main gaming mouse that is acting strange. Since then I am using a hard mousepad, which I don't like, but it works fine. I can't seem to find the problem and it seems to do that with other cloth mouse pads too.

Clean off the pads or replace them, check things again. Make sure the sensor is clean.

Did all of that multiple times

Contact support for the mouse, could be a sensor issue if it's only happening on a particular surface.
