Mouse stops working when playing YouTube videos

My mouse stops working when I play a YouTube video, or when I open my League of Legends game client. It doesn't play a disconnect sound, and once I close the program or go back a page, it continues to work like normal. I just finished building this computer, and am running Windows 7 on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been doing some more research on this and one thing that I think might be the problem is that the drivers may not have successfully installed. I was bypassing the signature authentication thing that prevents Windows 7 from getting drivers without it. Could this possibly be the solution for it?

Try to go to the device manager, find the "Mice and other pointing devices" section, expand that option, then find your mouse (It should be listed there), right click on it, go to properties and then select "Update Drivers" and that should do the trick

Im having very similar problems. i played around with some drivers and reset them back to the initial versions but now my mouse and key board stop working when i watch youtube videos or open a game client. ive gone back and fixed everything i changed but something has permanantly changed my mouse and key board. they are both plug and play. how can i narrow down the problem?
