Question Mouse/touchpad not working properly?

My toshiba satellite pro laptop mouse/touchpad has been working normally but lately sometimes the cursor will just move erratically when trying to use it & can just freeze & also disappear. I've tried the update driver but it says it's fine. There is also a yellow ! on the pci simple communications controller if that's related to the mouse/touchpad issue in any way? I have also tried the update driver for this which I cannot & the driver details just says 'no files are required or have been loaded for this device' so I don't think there was any driver ever installed for it anyway but I've not had any issues apart from now with this mouse/touchpad.

You might want to first try and see if your laptop is pending any BIOS updates. For your laptop, what is the model of the laptop and it's SKU? What OS are you working with?

How do I check for BIOS updates? The laptop is a toshiba satellite pro L670 -14M & I am running windows 10.
