Mouse won't click on Windows 10 start menu and other things

Updated my Win 7 Pro x64 computer last night to Windows 10. Now can't click on the start menu items or really any windows menu. Some other random things won't accept a left click either. Chrome seems to respond just fine but not firefox. I'm puzzled. I have a Razer Naga 2014 but tried a Cheap little logitech mouse with same results. I also logged into my machine Via team viewer from work and left click still doesn't work on things.

I'd be totally fine doing a fresh install but not sure of the procedure yet to have it activate without installing windows 7 first then doing the upgrade again.

Not sure what to do about your mouse issues, but I think I can help with the fresh install.

Since you already did the upgrade, you should already have a W10 key tied to your system. You may want to write this down, but from what I understand, Microsoft will 'recognize' your system after a clean install as long as you have internet access, and it will activate itself. If at any point during the installation process you are asked for a key, it is safe to skip it.

As for the install itself, you'll want to head over to Microsoft to download their Media Creation Tool: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

This tool will help you download the W10 ISO and create a bootable USB or DVD. Just make sure that you select the proper version of Windows during the process, as your key is tied to that specific version and will not work with others. Once the installation media is ready, it's just the same old Windows installation process.

this definately has something to do with stupid Razer Synapse program and its updates are causing this was working fine before i finally broke down and logged into synaps now all went to hell instantly

I have synapse and W10 and I get mouse problems in chrome with freezes.

Not elsewhere though.
