Mouse wont left click

I have to double click to do a normal left click, and in any games I play it works around 1/15th of the time. I use the trackpad. I've never had this problem until I installed windows 8.1

Either it's you software(win8.1) or the mouse's fault. Have you tried using another mouse with the computer?

No, I don't the only 'mouse' I have is the trackpad on my laptop

If it's the trackpad then i think you can configure it in the control panel>search "mouse">go to trackpad section in "mouse settings". There you can configure all the different gestures you can make with it and which one's that should be enabled.
