Question Mousepad squeaking

If I press really quickly in one particular spot the touchpad press to click on my laptop squeaks a little. It doesn’t happen all the time. The laptop is rather new. From experience is this just friction or a faulty mousepad? The clicks work fine and rarely happens, but I did notice it earlier on.

mouse pad and touch pad are two different things... in most peoples eyes. mouse pad go on desks, touch pads generally don't.

I see, thanks. It’s a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.
