to download to WMP? how to convert them with less quality loss?

I now what you mean. I hate Quicktime, realplayer. Damn bloated
applications. There is Quicktime alternative:

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/QuickTime_Alternative.htm

It doesn't write stuff to your startup. There's loads of excellent free
stuff on there.
