move documents and settings folder

Hi!

Is there a possibility to move the documents and settings folder under winnt for example, without any lost functionality? Can it be done using search and replace in registry, replacing the searchway?
Or do I have to modify the setupfiles and make a re-installation?

The reason is that I would like to have W2k and WinXP on the same partition, and by default, you can have different systemfolders but not documents and settings folders... (and thats really lame.. really...)

I highly recommend that you install each operating system on a different partition...but if you must install them on the same partition, here is a link to a DANGEROUS registry edit procedure on the MS Technet site. Scroll down to the "Entire Folder" part, and make sure you read and follow the directions exactly. This can really cause some inconvenience if it doesn't work, or is done wrong, so be careful.

You could do that, or you could use "tweakui" that's far easier and less prone to accidents.
