Hi so I have a c: drive and a d: drive. I would like to transfer my user program files and program files x86 to my d drive, how do I do that.

You don't, at least not directly.

When you are installing a program you are generally asked where you would like for the necessary files to be placed. That choice not only results in those files being placed in that folder, but registry entries being created that reference those specific folders.

Transferring program files from one drive to another is generally done by uninstalling and reinstalling the software, choosing the preferred new location on reinstall.

No and no.

Programs, absolutely not.
The entire /Users/ folder? Absolutely not.

You can redirect the individual Libraries, but don't move the whole /Users/ folder.
Here's how:
Win 7 & 8:

Win 8.1 & 10:

(the OS version makes a difference in how you do it.)

What size/make/model is your current C drive?
How full is it?
