[SOLVED] Move ONLY the OS to a different partition in the same SSD

I heard that having the os in its own partition alone will make saving apps and games alot easier to recover if reinstalling os. Right now they are all inside my 1tb ssd, in a 953gb partition with 164gb currently used.

What I would like to do is:
  1. Create a 200gb os partition
  2. Only move the operating system to that, keeping everything else in the original partition

If this isnt possible I'll understand. Thanks in advance

No, you can't move "only the OS".

Your personal files, Steam games...those can be moved to a different drive or partition.
But not "only the OS".
you will have to do it the other way around

create a partition
move the game folder to this partition
configure e.g. steam to use the game folder you just created

other apps might need to be reinstalled if the OS was resetted or reinstalled

moving the OS is not that easy
