Make sure the power cable is fully plugged in. Best way to do that would be take it out and put it back in. Also check the connection to the powerstrip.

Ok so I disconnected the pc, turned off the psu and plugged it back in and it works so thanks a lot 😃 but I'm just wondering if i need a higher quality psu cable because it seems to move a bit and when the pc wasnt working made a short circuit noise when I moved it

Probably don't need a new cable. The noise you heard was what you would hear if you didn't have something plugged all the way into the wall. The PSU cable is exactly the same cable that you would find on electric typewriters from the 1970's.
