Having problems using Windows Movie Maker with Dell Studio 1749 and Windows 7 (about 4 years old). Have loaded video from Sony CX190 and .jpg stills from holiday but although the stills display correctly and can be manipulated, the video refuses to play in the window. Have tried importing clips directly from the SD card into the laptop and also via the USB lead from the camcorder. Both versions work in a friend’s PC also running W7, so I’m assuming it’s a problem with my laptop. Have tried downloading various driver updates to no avail. Have read numerous posts in various forums on the net, but yet to find solution. Any ideas, please?
