moving 500 home folders to another volume

I am looking after the network of a school with about 500 pupils and
50 teachers. The volume with the home folders has become too small ( I
underestimated the love of JGP files). I do have a new disk and it is
in the system, but how do I move all the permissions and access rights
with the folders without too much pain? All disks are NTFS formatted.

Thanks,

SlowHand

I'd use robocopy with the /SEC switch.
