i have this new pc with a new cpu and mobo ready to go and I’m going to use the hard drive (currently has windows 10) from my old pc and put it in the new one. Will windows be able to start up without erasing anything? Mainly wanting to save pictures, some recordings and some softwares I want to keep. Basically I want to know if it’s going to do a factory restore or if it’s going to save everything on the hdd to an “old” folder.

If it doesn’t work I have an hdd adaptor on the side that I’m hoping will work the way I want it to.

No a factory restore will restore what was on it already.

And that will probably be the AMD stuff.

Do a clean install / wipe the lot. Then reinstall Windows on the Intel system

You will have to reinstall programs. You can't copy these and put them back later, they wont work

oh yeah I made a new thread earlier. What I did was install about 10 needed drivers, restarted, reactivated windows, and everything seems to be fine. like really. Nothing is running slow, crashing or show no signs of corruption. Played like 10 games, opened video and photo editing softwares and still nothing.
