Question Moving downloads folder from ssd to hdd

I know how to move the folder threw properties and locations tab, i moved it from ssd with OS installed on it to E: partition but it still puts all the files in user/name/downloads, anyway around this?

The easiest way is to just change the location of your Downloads folder in Windows.

Click the Start Button and click your Profile Name... and look for the folder Downloads... then just right click on that and select Properties... then look for LOCATION... and enter the location where you want it be from now on...

You're done... that will be the location for your new downloads folder.. no need to worry about any other changes..

In the properties of the Download folder, you can change the Location.
It will still report as user/name/downloads, but it should actually save to the different drive.

Or, you can change the location setting in your actual browser application.
This is my setting in FireFox.

"N" is the mapped drive location on my NAS box, a whole other system.
