Moving my cpu to test out a motherboard

Hello my sister recently gave me a super expensive motherboard she got for free from the place she worked and i was wondering if I were to test to see if the motherboard works could I move my CPU to the new motherboard just for testing and if the motherboard doesn't work would i be able to use the same CPU without any problems to my old system.

Yes you will be able to as long as you do not bend any pins. I would also make sure that the new Mobo supports the Cpu you are attempting to use.

yeah both of my motherboards are lga1151 sockets thanks for the the reply I will test the mobo as soon as I get a new battery for it

Just dont forget to wipe off the old thermal and use new thermal
