Moving OS from HDD to SSD

I have just bought a new SSD and i have an old HDD where i have my OS, games, movies.... How can i move all that data from the HDD to an SSD. And i have a big enouf SSD to have all my files from HDD on. Oh and i have Windows 8.1 installed.

I personally would use Acronis, create a backup and then restore it to the SSD. Acronis can automatically adjust the size of the backup to fit the new SSD.

However, there should be other options such as windows backup as well, but I don't know because I never used that.
