So, on my last PC, a Watchdogs violation came up, and I decided to scrap it as it was a pretty terrible PC. It came with Windows 7 64 bit, and a Windows 7 Recovery Disk. When It was being repaired by a friend, he went ahead and put Windows 8.1 on it, but by using an upgrade disk, which we have. I used the DVD ROM and mechanial hard drive in my new build, but I want to see if I can put the OS on my SSD. How would I wipe the hard drive if I put windows recovery disk on it? then could I put windows 7, then use the 8 upgrade and put it on the SSD? Or if the Watchdogs violation is no longer there, how would I move the OS from the HDD to the SSD using the Windows 8 upgrade?
I already spent alot of money as it is on the build, and I wouldn't want to spend any more. I know its a complicated problem but if any of you could help that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
