Moving Programs Over

So I'm about to move all my old stuff from my old compy to a new more modern one.

It seems I can't clone the HDD because I'll be using a SSD+HDD combo to run this new computer.

I can afford to reinstall the programs, but how can I carry over their work, progress, settings, etc?

copy & paste the saved work files.
MS Easy transfer wizard may help if they are all stored in the users folder
