Question Moving saved game files

I'm going to be upgrading my cpu in the next week. All my games are currently installed on another drive, but their save files are on the C: drive. Is it possible to move those save files from the C: drive to another drive and then back to the C: drive again after the upgrade? Or am I just going to have to lose all my save files and restart the games again?

If I can move them, is it just as simple as copy and paste, or is there something more specific I should do?

Yes, you can copy game save files. They usually are located in user profile.

What if I don't have the games on steam. I have just downloaded them to my computer. So I don't have a user profile unless you mean in my user folder of the C: drive.

Yes. That's exactly, what I meant.
C:\Users folder contains profiles of all users on your pc.
