Hey!
I have been playing sims 3 on a windows 7 pc with all expansions. Now I want to move the save files over to a windows xp.
I have tried moving the save folder, but the saves wont appear on the sims 3 on my xp. The xp only have the original game so far.
Is it possible to move save files created on a windows 7 pc onto a windows xp system?

Solution
You have to move them from Windows 7's C:\Users folder (in either <UserName>\Documents or Public\Public Documents) to the XP locations of C:\Documents and Settings in either \<UserName>\My Documents\Electronic Arts\Sims 3\Saves or \All Users\Shared Documents\Electronic Arts\Sims 3\Saves

I have tried moving just the "save" folder. Do you mean I should move the whole "electronic arts" (from documents folder) folder from windows 7 to xp?

I had both .sims3.backup and .sims3 folders there. But I got it working now.
My save files where from a different town, so I had to install the expansion packs to get them to work.
