It certainly won't hurt anything, unless you end up with significantly slower memory, but that's kinda beside the point.
On the other hand, having 32 GB, I often find myself loading the entirety of older games into a RAM drive to play, or even new games like LoL that just happen to comfortably fit. Nothing wrong with getting load speeds that easily beat an SSD or M.2 drive. Plenty of RAM left for running games, which tend to see significantly diminished returns with any more than 8 GB free for the game itself.
Be creative. I often find myself tossing video files I'm editing on a RAM drive. Works great! Must be something you've wanted to improve the performance of?
