I have a very small SSD (64gb) that I boot from amd I am regretting getting it because it quickly ran out of space. I have all of my common programs, drivers, and updates on this drive and I have run out of room. I am trying to stay as organized as possible with my stoage but I'm not sure how necessary it is. I have a new SSD I am looking to purchase (240gb). Will it be necessary to migrate from the old SSD to the new SSD? If I do, I will need to also copy Windows somehow and I've seen ways to be able to copy hard drives but nothing mentioning SSD's in particular (maybe I missed something). Is there any guidance out there to where I can begin or maybe reassurance that I am overthinking this. Thank you in advance for your time!

if you dont care about a little down time the easy way is just drop in the new drive and reinstall windows on it and your aps. if you have extra sata ports and room in your case then plug the old ssd in after you install windows and move your personal files from old drive to the new one then wipe the old drive and use it as a storage drive.

software a lot of the mods post as one of the better drive cloning.

Samsung drives come with migration software that will move everything off the old drive to the new drive. As with any migration - it is always suggested to backup important files (i.e. pictures, documents, music, etc) before performing the migration. Acronis also has good software for moving the information from one to the other.

Thank you for your response. I have run into a problem, though, where I have lost my original OEM disc. I downloaded ProduKey to get my key for reinstallation, can that be enough if I download a Windows ISO and save it to a personal USB, can I just reinstall my copy t the new hard drive like that? I just want to know for sure before I go ahead and make my purchase. Thank you again for your help.

Thank you for your response. I am trying to do this without having to buy a brand like Samsung just because, in my opinion, they seem a bit overpriced. I addressed a concern I had in a response I had to another User's response. If you have the time, take a look and let me know f you have any input on what I am trying to do. Thank you again for your response.
