I converted an old HP desktop from HDD to Samsung 830 128GB SSD for OS and programs with a clean install of Windows 7 about a year ago . Data is on a separate HDD. It's worked fine except that lately the SSD gets close to filling up and I've run out of things to delete in order to avoid the problem. I used Samsung Data Migration to clone to a new Samsung 850 256 GB.
Migration went smoothly and the new drive booted up except that a process Ucmapi.exe kept running the CPU up to 100% (I think it's part of Skype for Business).
The next time I booted the computer everything seemed fine. I turned off the computer and rebooted the next day to find that msosync.exe process kept running the CPU.
I decided that I might retry migration with Macrium Reflect. Macrium will not recognize the new drive when connected by USB so I connected internally in the location of my data HDD. I thought Macrium would simply overwrite the new drive but shows it having multiple partitions and it seems to want to clone to the vacant portion of the drive.
Sorry for the long post. Any suggestions or something I am doing wrong?
