moving to new mobo with used 4770k

I want to get a new mobo for my 4770k. Im leaving Gigabyte for many reasons (shitty website and mobo(ga-z87x-ud3h)) Can someone suggest the most solid and reliable mobo for under$200. Also can someone tell me the steps I would have to go through in order to successfully change mobo without losing my os or any files etc...

You have to backup all your Data, and reinstall.

No way possible to save the operating system, you are changing boards.

The only 3 choices you have are Intel, MSI and Asus.
All others are lower quality.

What operating system and version??
Some can not be transferred to a new computer.

windows 8.1 64 bit

by version I meant OEM or full version.

I thing you are safe though.
I think 8 is transferable.

yes i think its oem. 99% sure

If you bought the copy of win8 it is transferable,
If it came per-installed, you can not.


All 8 is OEM.
MS doesn't want to do support anymore.
