Question Moving updated Adobe Software from previous Win 8.1 Installation to new Win 10?

Hey there,

I just had to switch to Win 10 because Adobe forced me through the latest Photoshop versions.
Now I realized the CS4 Update files for my trusty old InDesign etc are no longer on their servers. I still have the old version on the applications disk, is it somehow possible to "just copy" the "old", updated files over the "new" files? It is PROBABLY a dumb question, but maybe I don't need to know as I imagine I might have to. InDesign.exe might just be InDesign.exe to Windows, no clue

"Latest Photoshop" and "CS4" are from different epochs, and require different planforms, you can't use them together. Keep the old platform for CS4, or virtualize it. Or byte the bullet, and upgrade CS4 as well.

I meant:
I have CS4 for certain Apps, bacuse I see no point whatsoever to upgrade my DTP stuff, Photoshop/Lightroom are latest versions, because it makes sense. They're running/working as needed.

BUT there were bugfixes for aforementioned OLD software. On the old system, those were applied, on the new one, I can't get them anymore.
Maybe I'll just try renaming and replacing...
