MP printer drivers won't install on my computer

Hi,

I have just bought a new canon pixma mg5350 printer. I have tried to install it from the disk and by downloading the drivers from the canon website. I cannot get it to install at all!

The wireless set up all went through fine and is connected. When I go to install the software and drivers it all goes through and then just comes up with a message saying mp drivers have not been installed. It then tells me to look at the onscreen manual which is part of the software that will not download!!!

ANY help will be much appreciated. My computer is a HP touchsmart 520 PC with windows 7.

The system is 64bit. Not sure how I upload an image as when I click on the picture box it asks for the URL?

When you open device manager it is empty.

when you open devices and printers it has icons for: fax, Microsoft XPS document writer, page manager pdf writer and pdf complete
