mp4 audio bitrate (kbps)?

What audio bitrate (kbps) MP4 should i put my mp4 videos in. i used 128 and the sound sound lousy playing it on my tv with a media player i have connected to it.

I don't have any issues using 128 for my movie conversions. Are you sure it's not the TV and media player that is the issue? Although in my case I don't play BlueRay disks directly, it's either streaming movies or my ripped movies on the network, which I play directly through the TV interface through a soundbar.

For MP3 320 kbps is best you can get. You could check FLAC for HD audio.
