MP4..converting AAC to Wav

Hi..I struggle along with my video work not knowing 1/2 the time what I am
doing ..anyway....Recently I downloaded 3 x Music Video clips....They are
MP4 files and play on Quick Time.......
Now I would like to convert to Mpeg1 and read that TMPGenc will convert
MP4.....?

Well not quite as theres no audio so I thought I found a utility that will
demux MP4 ..and subsequently ended up with an AAC file.....

Now I presume AAC is an audio file so I thought "can I convert this to Wav
or MP3" ...and then use TMPGenc to process the video and audio file into
Mpeg1...

And this is as far as I got.....

Can anybody help me here ..can I convert AAC .and if so what utility do I
use? ..and am I on the right track here in converting MP4 to Mpeg1..

QuickTime Pro (US$30) should be able to do the conversion in one pass.
