Hello, Guys, I'm just new here, I just wanted to replace my wifi card on my laptop with a wifi/Bluetooth 4 card into the mPCIe slot on my laptop, but I got the not supported error. When I checked the pins of my wifi cards I noticed that my stock has 9+17 pin config while the replacement has 8+18 pin config, and I searched all online selling websites and they only have 8+18 pin? is my mPCIe on my laptop can support "some" 8+18 pin? btw my laptop is HP 430 notebook pc yr 2011

also planning to do eGPU on it but I'm worried about the 8+18 pin
highly appreciate your reply

Just so we're on the same page as you, is your laptop's make and model the HP ProBook 430 G1? If so, since you've popped open the hood, what is the make and model of your wireless card? A picture of it will also suffice. What is the make and model of the replacement adapter you purchased?

On a side note, did you make sure to update your BIOS prior to the wireless adapter upgrade process?

Hey, thanks for the reply, I didn't update my bios as it is the final version on hp website for my laptop.

My laptop is HP 430 Notebook PC the sandybridge one,

here is my stock wifi card: you will notice that it has 9+17 pins

This is the one that I wanted to install: it has 8+18 pins just like any other wifi card in the market all have 8+18 pins
