Elderly couple in rural area has dying PC w/Vista (NO internet connection) that they use for playing FreeCell & Mahjong Titans games. Since new computers come w/Windows 10 installed is it better to purchase a "basic" PC and reinstall original Vista to so they can play their games? Or is there a way for them to have the Vista version games installed in a new pc runningWindows 10?

Again, they do NOT have access to the Internet, and use their pc for games & typing letters on occasion...no need for "updates", etc.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks from a concerned relative...

Go with Windows 10 - you will be paying for it anyway via a "basic" PC.

And probably a lot of other stuff will be added in.... aka "crapware".

If the OS does not include Mahjong and Free Cell both are listed as avialable and free at the Microsoft store.

Seems to be a variety of versions available.

Recommend that you check the store to ensure that the desired "version" (i.e.,looks and plays like what the app they now have on Vista) is indeed available.
