MS InteliMouse Explorer

My MS Intelimouse explorer had stopped working just weeks ago. The mouse's RED LED went dead, and sometimes along with the OPTICAL SENSOR, and when that happens, it freezes my computer. Sometimes, it returns to a "working state" after a minute or so, and sometimes i need to reboot my computer. I've tried to switch from usb to ps/2, and even to another computer, but it doesn't seem to help. Now i m using logitech mouseman wheel, but i would like to know is the EXPLORER BROKEN.

tsktsktsk. I guess I'll stick to my Logitech FristMouse+ until the optical thingy is mature.

The optical tech is out for quite awhile already, and i can see a bunch of ppl like it, yet, i really can't understand that weird behavior of the explorer. I also use MS intelimouse optical, and it works fine. And by the way, the EXPLORER is not even a year old yet. And now i m using the logitech mouseman wheel optical because it has good reputation, and yet, i hope the BLUE LED makes it better, hahaha...
