[SOLVED] MS-Offfice 2016 for Mac Powerpoint locks up

I have a friend who owns a 2015 Macbook Pro, and has Office 2016 installed. Whenever she makes a slideshow in Powerpoint, if she selects the Slideshow option, 3 slides into the slideshow Office will completely lock up and subsequently crash. Some slideshows will make it a few more slides in, but I think it's more timing than number of slides. Any clue what could cause this?

Also, periodically, her Macbook screen will simply go black. No image on screen at all.

Does it do it while plugged in? Is the battery good (normal)?

Yes, while plugged in or on Battery.

Would make a Genius Bar appointment. Often they will do a free diagnostic. Have you done a hardware test on your own?
